About Us
Advit Design Lab is a contemporary lighting and design studio exploring the relationship between matter, form, light and experience.
We create evocative forms of light - objects and spatial expressions shaped by natural materials, thoughtful craftsmanship and an instinct for sculptural design.
For us, light is not simply a means of illumination. It is a medium through which material reveals its character, form finds presence, and space acquires atmosphere.
Advit Philosophy
Light is more than illumination. We see light as a material in itself - one that can be shaped, composed and experienced.
Our approach begins with matter - Natural materials are never merely finishes or surfaces. They are an essential part of the design. Their grain, texture, weight, translucency and imperfections become part of the language of each piece.
Matter Takes Form
We explore sculptural and architectural forms that exist between object and artwork, between function and expression. Each form is conceived not only to be seen, but to interact with its surroundings.
Form Meets Light
Light reveals what matter holds within it. It traces contours, creates shadow, softens edges and gives form a sense of presence. Sometimes it illuminates; sometimes it disappears into the material.
Light Becomes Experience
A moment of stillness. A familiar memory. A sense of warmth. A feeling of wonder. A new way of seeing a space.
Light As An Experiential Tool
We believe good lighting changes more than what we see.
It changes how a space feels.
The intensity of a glow.
The direction of a shadow.
The warmth of a surface.
The rhythm of light across a wall.
These subtle moments can shape our perception of a place. Our ambition is to create lighting that participates in those moments - to create pieces that illuminate, inhabit and ultimately evoke.
